    Attention! The EU list of SVHC candidate substances has been increased to 235

    On June 14, 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) included all of the two substances reviewed in the 29th batch in the REACH Substances of High Concern (SVHC) list.  At this point, the REACH list of substances of high concern has been officially increased to 235 items.

    The new substance information is as follows:

    The REACH regulation stipulates that when the SVHC content in an article is greater than 0.1%, information must be passed through the supply chain;  When the SVHC content of the article is greater than 0.1% and the annual export volume is greater than 1 ton, the ECHA must be notified.

    According to the EU Waste Framework Directive, from 5 January 2021, suppliers placing on the EU market items with an SVHC content of more than 0.1% are required to submit information about their items to ECHA through the SCIP database.
